Manenberg's festive peace shattered by gang volence

GANG violence flared up again in Manenberg on Monday evening after a tjoepstil festive season.
According to sources in the community, an alleged Hard Livings gang member was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting incident on Lyne Road at around 7.35pm.
A resident, who chose to remain anonymous, said: “There have been no shootings during the festive season. Monday was the first.”
Another resident said: “I really don’t know how this shooting started. The shooting just started yesterday all of a sudden that was around about 6.30pm after I left for work.
“Thankfully there weren't any shootings yesterday morning, but we don’t know what to expect.”
