A SIX-YEAR-OLD laaitie from Manenberg has been hospitalised after he was injured at a local playpark when the chain of a swing snapped.

The hartseer mother of Adyaan Benjamin has called on parents to be extra careful when sending their kids to the park after the boytjie suffered extensive facial injuries and a leg break.

Mom Zivia, 30, says they rushed the boy to Red Cross Hospital on Saturday after the incident at the park on York Street.

She explains: "The incident happened just before 12pm on Saturday. My husband took my son to the park in York Street and he was on the swing.
