DEVASTATION: Gun violence erupted after fire left 150 people without a roof over their heads

COMMUNITY workers in Overcome Heights were forced to work through the bullets over the weekend while helping 150 victims who lost their livelihood in a devastating fire.
Strong winds fanned flames over the Cape as firefighters attended to fires in Capri Village, Khayelitsha and Witsands on Thursday.
In Khayelitsha, 300 people were displaced and in Witsands 10 informal structures were damaged by fire, with 32 mense losing their homes.
Meanwhile in Overcome Heights, some 45 hokkies were afgebrand, leaving 150 mense homeless.
The City's Disaster Risk Management Spokesperson Charlotte Powell released a statement saying: "The Disaster Risk Management Centre has completed assessments of fires that occurred in Khayelitsha and Witsands [Thursday].
