'HE INSULTED MY MOTHER'

CASRIC Stars coach Joseph Mthombeni claims someone in the Cape Town City camp “insulted” his mother as the two teams played to a 1-1 draw in their PSL promotion/ relegation clash at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Wednesday.

City conceded a 94th penalty which led to Stars’ equaliser, sending emotions over the top.

Following a skirmish at the final whistle, Mthombeni told SuperSport in his post-match interview: “They [the players] are all fighting, somebody insulted me in Portuguese. I know Portuguese, I know what you mean.
