PEDRO Neto praised Chelsea's resilience and fighting spirit after securing their first Champions League win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Jose Mourinho’s Benfica at Stamford Bridge.
Though the match was decided by an own goal, forced by Neto and Alejandro Garnacho’s pressure, the result reflected the team’s grit and determination more than attacking flair.
Coming off a disappointing loss to Bayern Munich on matchday one, Chelsea entered the game determined to show growth, and Neto highlighted how the squad learned from that defeat.
