'APPLY NOW FOR 2026'

THE Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has called on parents of Grade 7 learners to wikkel with their high school applications.

Halfway through the on-time admissions window for 2026, the department says that over 33 000 learners currently in Grade 7 in the Western Cape have not yet applied for a place in Grade 8 in 2026.

According to the department, schools were asked to add a note about applications to their end-of-term communications to parents last week.
