ANIMAL poo could be the secret to treating human superbugs, say boffins.

It is hoped poop from tigers, elephants, giraffes and other exotic beasts may stop a serious global threat.

Antimicrobial-resistant bacteria are on a steep rise - with an increase of 4,000 serious infections in the UK over four years, according to the UK Health Security Agency.
