HOLLYWOOD legend Robert De Niro tucked into cobra meat while filming The Deer Hunter, as the Daily Star revealed yesterday.

We've dinner reservations

The 81-year-old, now starring in the Netflix thriller Zero Day, says it tasted like marshmallows when he tried it in the 1970s.

But he's not the only famous person to have dined on something unusual - even without appearing on TV's I'm A Celeb. Here JAMES MOORE serves up a menu of exotic star diets...

Arachno-foodie: Angelina Jolie ate fried spiders while in Cambodia, where they're a delicacy, with her children. The film star 49, who has an adopted son called Maddox from the country, has sampled bug-based dishes several times. Angelina says: "Crickets, you start with crickets. Crickets and a beer and then you kind of move up to tarantulas." She enjoys a cockroach too.

Boffin a laugh: Physicist Albert Einstein, famous for his theory of relativity, used to like suddenly picking up grasshoppers and eating them to freak out his friends. It was a strange habit the scientist had picked up as a child, according to his chauffeur.
