Arteta vows to carry on spending as Guns shape up for new title assault

ONE day after centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes purred over the new-look Arsenal, boss Mikel Arteta made one thing clear - there is more to come.

The summer signings of Noni Madueke from Chelsea and Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi for £52m and £51m respectively, not to mention Danish midfielder Christian Norgaard, have added some creative flair and depth to the Gunners squad.

And although he continued to play his cards close to his chest over the possibility of adding Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres to his roster, even that signing might not signal the end of the club's spending spree.

Indeed, there is still a chance that Gyokeres will be added in time to join up with the squad at their training camp in Singapore this week.

When quizzed, Arteta remained cautious but left room for the deal to progress in Arsenal's favour.

He said: "I cannot comment on any player who is not part of our group yet.
