Vicky's putting murder on map
Daily Star
|March 31, 2026
LINE Of Duty and Trigger Point star Vicky McClure has taken five new cases with her husband Jonny Owen.
The couple are presenting a new series called Britain's Murder Map for the Sky History channel.
It examines historic cases, including unsolved murders, miscarriages of justice and milestone cases that have changed the law - speaking to historians, police officers and victims' families along the way.
The five episodes include bodysnatchers Burke and Hare, John Christie's murders at 10 Rillington Place, the 1959 murder of Antiguan Kelso Cochrane in London's Notting Hill, and the case of Dr Crippen.
Travelling the country together, the couple examine the crimes and ask why they still resonate today.
Explaining why she took on the job Vicky, 42, says: "Because of Line Of Duty, I have done work with the real police outside of the show, and that made me interested in crime." But while she enjoyed working with genuine cops, she would never want to be a detective or an explosives officer like in Trigger Point.
