KANSAS CITY CHIEFS star Travis Kelce has publicly apologised for his team's Super Bowl humiliation and shouldered the blame for his side missing out on history.

The Chiefs were aiming to become the first team ever to win three straight Super Bowls but were blown apart 40-22 by the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
And veteran Kelce, whose high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift was one of the distracting sub-plots of the title showdown, said: "I'm kicking myself for some of the tiny decisions I made on the field.
