Hero seriously injured rescuing man on track
A POLICE officer was struck by a train while trying to save a distressed man on the tracks.
The officer sustained “life-changing injuries” during the “extremely traumatic” incident near to a railway crossing.
He was last night described as “very poorly” in hospital by his chief constable.
