THIS IS WHY I DO LIKE MUNDI

THE curtain rises on the Cheltenham Festival today and it looks like we're in for a treat.

THIS IS WHY I DO LIKE MUNDI

The Supreme Novices' Hurdle leads the charge and, with a red-hot Willie Mullins favourite, it's a race that might just offer some each-way value. And with six of the 12 runners, Mullins could provide the answer for this too.

For this reason, I am keeping the faith with SALVATOR MUNDI (1.20), who sat as the long-time ante-post favourite before a below-par seasonal debut.

He made hard work of winning the Grade Two Moscow Flyer in January, but the data suggests that we can expect more today.

What is worth noting at Punchestown is how his jumping deteriorated throughout the race, and one explanation could be how slowly they went early on.
