RISHI “Biggles” Sunak last night finally fired the starting gun for a summer General Election. 

The PM confirmed the country will go to the polls on July 4 in a huge personal gamble.

But his big announcement was dashed by torrential rain and loudspeakers blaring out D:Ream’s hit – and Labour anthem – Things Can Only Get Better.
