Owls looking for relief on pitch as winding-up order looms
SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY fans reckon Dejphon Chansiri has been winding them up for years but when the taxman threatens to do the same then it is really time to worry.
The troubled Owls are set to be issued with a winding-up petition over a £1m debt owed to HM Revenue & Customs.
If the besieged Wednesday chairman (right) is unable to meet any demand it would increase the prospect of the Yorkshire club being placed into administration - and a 15-point deduction.
“It's a difficult situation for many people,” said manager Henrik Pedersen.
The Dane has spoken recently with Chansiri, but admitted they had not discussed the latest developments.
