Boss Adrian and Lachlan block out Lino noise ahead of semi

- BY JOSH MCALLISTER

LEIGH boss Adrian Lam insists the controversy surrounding star halfback Lachlan Lam will not be a distraction ahead of Friday's semifinal showdown with rivals Wigan.

The 27-year-old Papua New Guinea international is free to play this week, despite an allegation of unacceptable language made against him by Wakefield counterpart Mason Lino.

Head coach Adrian says senior officials at the club will handle the matter involving his son “as it unfolds,” with his sole focus on the knockout match at the Brick Community Stadium against the reigning Super League champions.

“That's the keyword - distraction,” said Adrian Lam.

“We're pretty confident, but I don't want to focus on that.
