Sian mind on Strictly business

THIS weekend is Capital's Jingle Bell Ball but host Sian Welby has next year's Strictly on her mind.

The DJ, who is a regular on This Morning and Loose Women, would love to take over from Tess Daly or Claudia Winkleman as presenter of the dance show in 2026 when they hang up their ball gowns.

Sian told me: "It's funny because within seconds of that being announced, I had so many WhatsApps from mates and colleagues going, 'Oh my God, Sian, you should do this!

"It would obviously be the most incredible job to get. I mean, Tess and Claudia were just icons and they paved the way for it being two female presenters, which sounds bonkers, but it wasn't really done.

"I thought that was epic and people were so funny about it at the start.
