She took revenge for a 'selfish' trip

HOW do I handle a spiteful, cruel partner who seeks to crush and control me at every turn?

She doesn’t like me seeing friends or having any kind of life away from her.

Recently an old school friend invited me to go sailing with him. I picked my moment and casually mentioned this to my girl. She went crazy. She accused me of being selfish.

How did I propose to pay for this trip and what was she supposed to do while I was away?

I gently explained I had asked my sister to come and stay over.

I added that I planned to give my sis £100 to buy food and drink and, basically, babysit my girl (who is 32).

My girl went into a massive sulk and refused to speak to me. I returned from my sailing trip to find she'd dismissed my sister (but kept the £100) and cut up all my shirts and thrown away all my trainers.
