HOLOCAUST DAY SPEECH AT CAMP
KING Charles said the testimony of Holocaust survivors teaches us to "never be a bystander in the face of violence and hate".
He was speaking as the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau was marked yesterday.
The King, 76, joined holocaust survivors and world leaders who gathered for commemorations at the former Nazi concentration camp in Poland.
Charles said that remembering the "evils of the past remains a vital task" and the day was a "sombre and indeed a sacred moment".
