Game, full set, match thanks to Cole
FOR so much of this match, it was all about one of football's European greats.
And yet, ultimately, Cole Palmer stepped up to steal the show and prove his quality to write another chapter in Chelsea's glorious history.
Palmer set up the first two goals with wonderful assists for Enzo Fernandez and then Nicolas Jackson to complete a clean sweep of European trophies for Chelsea.
It turned the game completely on its head from an occasion that was slipping away from them because of the sheer brilliance of Real Betis captain Isco.
The Real Madrid legend, 33, a five-time Champions League winner, ran the show and it looked as if Real Betis would enjoy a fairy tale night and their first major European trophy, in the Tarczynski Arena.
But it is in adversity when the great players step forward and Palmer just took the game by the scruff of its neck and turned on its head.
