Goldmember in £68bn rush to buy British gold
DONALD Trump sparked a gold rush with the US swiping Britain's bullion.
A surge in shipments of the precious metal to America has led to a shortage in London.
The £68billion bullion raid was triggered by fears over Goldmember Trump's proposed US tariffs on transatlantic transfers.
That has caused problems at the Bank of England where the wait to withdraw bullion stored in its vaults has risen from a few days to up to eight weeks.
The gold exodus could be a hammer blow to Britain's borrowing power and PM Sir Keir Starmer.
