Tynan on to a winner as old clubs meet

PLYMOUTH legend Tommy Tynan once picked up the Chuckle Brothers in his post-football incarnation as a taxi driver and he will have the last laugh on Sunday.

When Argyle host Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round, Tynan will have a foot in both camps as a Scouser who was signed by Bill Shankly as a newspaper competition winner - and the Green Army's thirdhighest goalscorer of all time.

"I'm genuinely one of the few people entitled to wear one of those halfand-half scarves," said Tynan, 69.

"As a young lad I used to stand on the Kop when Ian St John and Roger Hunt played up front for Liverpool, in the days when smaller boys were pushed down to the front."
