Boss doubted he was still wanted

DAVID MOYES admits he was unsure how Everton fans would react to him when he returned.

Moyes has been a huge success since coming back two months ago and he is leading Everton away from the drop zone on the back of a seven-match unbeaten run, their best in seven years.

But the Toffees boss says he did not know how the supporters would feel about him coming back because he had been away for nearly 12 years.

"I didn't know how I was going to be taken," said Moyes. “The day I left was an unbelievable experience.

"I can still remember it greatly and it was a great send-off. I'd done 11 and a half years at the club.
