Japan ace shows Seagulls the way
BRIGHTON ended their winless run to dump Ipswich back in the Premier League drop zone.
Second-half strikes from Kaoru Mitoma and substitute Georginio Rutter were enough for the Seagulls' first league win since November.
Rutter's clincher was especially hard for the home side to take.
Kieran McKenna's men jumped out of the drop zone without kicking a ball on Wednesday after Wolves' 3-0 loss at Newcastle dented the Molineux side's goal difference.
The two-goal swing here left both sides level on 16 points and a goal difference of minus-17 but Wolves are back ahead on goals scored.
Brighton were boosted by striker Joao Pedro being passed fit after hurting an ankle in training.
