Lethal Lions taken to silence the Melbourne crowd
Daily Star
|July 26, 2025
IT WILL be worth getting up early this morning and joining the 90,000 rugby union fans at the MCG to watch the British & Irish Lions take on Australia in the second Test (11am).
After defeat to Argentina in their warm-up match in Dublin, the Lions have been unbeaten on Australian soil, winning all seven of their matches to date.
There were excellent displays in routs of Western Force and a joint Australia and New Zealand Invitational side, while they have scrapped to victory against club sides Warraths and Brumbies, and the first Test offered a mixture of both performances.
