KITTS SORRY FOR HIS RIDE
Daily Star
|September 10, 2025
HILLSIN jockey Dylan Kitts yesterday apologised for stopping the horse from winning but claimed: “I did not act alone”.
The 24-year-old former conditional rider, speaking for the first time since the Worcester race in which the horse finished third in July 2023, said he had made “one of the worst decisions of my life”.
Kitts had previously admitted in a BHA interview to giving Hillsin a ‘stopping ride’ but claimed he had done so after receiving a threat from John Higgins, the father-in-law of Burnley footballer Ashley Barnes.
