IN-FORM Englishman Jordan Smith believes he is “very close” to claiming his third title as the Austrian Alpine Open returns to the DP World Tour schedule for the first time since 2021.

Smith finished just a shot behind Wu Ashun in last month’s Volvo China Open, as well as coming out on top in US Open qualifying to book his place at Oakmont next month.
