A -4C “POLAR plunge” is set to bring autumn snow and frosts to Britain, warn weather experts.

Despite sunny skies over much of the UK this week, temperatures will plummet to 12C in a five-day chill from today. Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna said: “Brrrr - polar air is on the way.”
