In limbo after new job offer

Dear James, I HAVE been offered a new job at a different company and handed in my notice. But I am concerned as I have not received a contract yet - despite it being over two weeks.

I have contacted the person who offered me the role asking if they need anything from me, but they just say there's "delays" with getting the paperwork signed off but it should get to me "soon".

Should I be concerned about this? I'm worried I've quit my job but may have nothing to go to.
