WHY do I think I can rescue lost causes? Why am I always attracted to the lame duck?

My boyfriend cheats on me, takes my money and lets me down. He makes big plans and talks about closing mega deals but then goes on huge benders and disappears for days.

Too many times I've had to dig him out of squats, brothels and drug dens.

Everyone tells me that he's a liability, but I can’t give up on him. I know he’s a dead weight, yet I still fancy and love him.

I must believe that I can save him from himself. Is that nuts?
