Marc stars after horror injury 17 DAYS ago

SAM BURGESS saluted Marc Sneyd's "amazing" willpower after he defied the odds to help fire Warrington to Wembley.

The former England scrum-half fractured his eye socket last month, but made a remarkable recovery after just 17 days, returning to boot nine crucial points against Leigh and send Wolves into a Challenge Cup final against Hull KR on Saturday, June 7.

With England stand-off George Williams and hooker Danny Walker both crocked, boss Burgess knew his underdogs would need Sneyd's experience in St Helens.

And the two-time Lance Todd Trophy winner delivered - even if his charged-down kick led to Leigh hooker Edwin Ipape scoring after just 50 seconds.
