RASMUS HOJGAARD recovered from an early blip at the Betfred British Masters to keep his bid to snatch a Ryder Cup spot on course.

The Dane is the only player who could nick the final automatic place on Team Europe at the expense of Shane Lowry, providing he can finish inside the top 30.

After starting the second round tied in 12th, a double bogey on the sixth followed by a bogey on the eighth saw Hojgaard (inset) momentarily drop out of that qualifying zone.
