Gus fears Woakes KO

GUS ATKINSON fears England will have to try and win the Test series against India without Chris Woakes, after the seamer suffered a suspected dislocated left shoulder attempting to save a boundary at the Kia Oval.

Atkinson, who took 2-31 and ran out Shubman Gill with a direct hit, admitted: "It doesn’t look great. I will be surprised if he takes any further part.

Woakes will be “assessed overnight” with a further bulletin expected this morning.
