SO much for the three-peat. Back in its box for at least two more years before anyone else can have a go.

If revenge is a dish best served cold, the Eagles chilled one of their town's famous Philly Cheesesteaks and rammed it down Kansas City's throat.

After losing the Super Bowl to KC two years ago in agonising fashion, this was redemption and it tasted oh, So sweet.

"It's been a long journey, it's a journey of ups and downs and highs and lows," said Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who threw for two touchdowns, ran for another and was voted Most Valuable Player.

"I've always stayed true to myself and have this vision of being the best that I can be, and that evolved, over time, into this desire to win.

"You don't do great things without having good guys around you.
