Going out for NYE is old hat

MOST Brits reckon New Year's Eve is the most overrated night of the year.

Half of us are planning to stay in tomorrow - saving an average of £116 per person - a poll found.

And more than seven in 10 (72%) said staying in for NYE is more enjoyable than going out.

Gen Z and millennials will be most likely to attend a house party to see in the new year instead of heading out to bars or clubs.

But 24% of them feel “pressured by social expectations” to hit the town - rising to 44% of Gen Zs.
