Impressive Royal Ascot winner to target Goodwood

ENGLISH OAK, as short as 8-1 for next month's July Cup after his victory at Royal Ascot on Friday, is unlikely to line up at Newmarket.

The Ed Walker-trained (right) four-year-old gave the Emir of Qatar's ownership venture Wathnan Racing the third of its four victories at the meeting with an impressive three-length success in the seven-furlong Buckingham Palace Handicap.
