Washed-up spuds 'like golden sands'

THOUSANDS of chips have washed up on a beach at a tourist spot.

The vast pile is more than 2ft deep in places.

The chips are thought to have come from containers that fell off a ship when Storm Goretti battered Britain earlier this month.

It comes just days after locals cleared the shoreline of onions and face masks from another spillage.
