ENGLAND ran riot to claim the win needed to move into the Euro 2025 quarterfinals.

The Lionesses will now meet Sweden as Ella Toone put on a masterclass with a goal and two assists.

Georgia Stanway's early penalty set them on their way, with Toone, Lauren Hemp and Alessia Russo adding further goals before the break.

Any fear of an upset was quickly extinguished, allowing the holders to cruise through and give some of their stars a rest in the second half.

And two of their substitutes combined for England's fifth, with Aggie Beever-Jones feeding Beth Mead to drill low into the corner.

Wales kept attacking even as the result drifted away from them, though, and were rewarded with a goal of their own through Hannah Cain. But Beever-Jones' header restored England's five-goal advantage.
