Brave Evans no match for Novak class

NOVAK DJOKOVIC swatted aside the challenge of brave Brit Dan Evans, to notch his 99th win at Wimbledon and book a place in the third round.

Djokovic rolled back the clock with some vintage tennis in a 6-3 6-2 6-0 victory on Centre Court.

The triumph kept alive his dream of landing an eighth Championship title and 25th Grand Slam.

Djokovic (left, with Evans) is desperate to hang around for as long as possible at SW19, where he made his debut two decades ago. And despite the fact this could be his last appearance here, he is in no mood to start reflecting on his glorious career.

He said: “I don’t pause to reflect. I don’t have time. Being at the highest level of professional tennis requires a lot of dedication.
