BORO NOT SMALL FRY WITH DAEL
Daily Star
|August 11, 2025
MATCH-WINNER Dael Fry was in tears after skippering Middlesbrough to victory.
-
The defender's glancing second-half header secured all three points for new boss Rob Edwards - who handed the captain's armband to the Teesside-born centre-back.
The 27-year-old has been a first-team regular for a decade and said: "To captain my hometown club, get a clean sheet and score the goal, it couldn't have gone any better.
“I still think the gaffer is going to pass the armband around, but it's nice to have it. When I saw it on my dressing room peg I was over the moon.
