BETO LATE THAN NEVER AS JAKE MAKES A POINT

The Toffees striker had missed two golden chances before Yoane Wissa gave the hosts the lead in first-half stoppage time.

But second-half subs by both managers changed the game. David Moyes introduced Ashley Young and Tim Iroegbunam after 75 minutes.

And two minutes later, O'Brien powered past Brentford sub Paris Maghoma before thumping home his header from Vitalii Mykolenko's deep cross for his first goal of the season.

In-form striker Beto, who was bidding to score in a club record-equalling fifth Premier League game in row, was then denied the winner by brilliant keeper Mark Flekken when clean through for a third time.

The Toffees extended their unbeaten Premier League run under Moyes to seven games.
