Versatile Kop star knows he'll get his big chance to shine as stunning Quad charge will stretch Slot's squad

WATARU ENDO had every right to be frustrated.

The arrival of Arne Slot has been positive for most at Liverpool. The Dutchman has the Reds fighting for trophies on four fronts, after all.

Endo (left), 31, wasn't an ever-present under Jurgen Klopp, but he started 20 Premier League games in his debut campaign in England after arriving from Stuttgart. Under Slot, he has started none. His appearances have been limited to the cup competitions, like this four-goal romp against League Two Stanley, 86 places lower than Liverpool in the football pyramid.

The Japan international deputized at center-back and showed his versatility.

While Slot clearly prefers slicker midfielders to the combative Endo, opportunities will come in the second half of the season.
