£43k for hidden Hobbit

A RARE first edition of The Hobbit hidden in a bookcase during a house clearance sold for £43,000.

The copy of JRR Tolkien's 1937 work was discovered tucked deep inside an old bookshelf.
The find in Bristol is one of only 1,500 copies on the initial print run.
