BOFFINS have launched research to examine whether Manchester has become "too posh" and has a "class ceiling".

The city is famous for a string of working-class heroes like the Gallagher brothers from Oasis.

Recent decades have seen huge changes in the city, with billions poured into creating thousands of skilled jobs.
