OLIVER GLASNER has already etched his name into Crystal Palace folklore. But following a summer of frustration at Selhurst Park, the elation of May's historic FA Cup triumph has swiftly subsided.

Glasner revealed when asked if he'd grasped the impact of his side's Cup win on the local community: "Yesterday we had the Premier League managers' meeting at Stockley Park," he said. "I went on the tube and there was no selfie, no autograph, so for me, that was a positive.

"Everybody looks into their phone, nobody looks at who is next to them."

Today's Community Shield clash with Liverpool is Palace's third trip to Wembley in just five months.
