TAKE the hint from Danny Mullins this afternoon when he takes in just the single ride at Carlisle in the feature Pertemps Hurdle Qualifier on LETOS (1.40) before scarpering back across the Irish Sea for the riches on offer over the Christmas period.

The former pony race rider has been in brilliant form this season thanks to his never-say-die attitude and is currently presiding over a 17 per cent strike rate in the past fortnight.

His partner here may only be one from seven over hurdles, but the further he has galloped the better the five-year-old has looked, and this will be his first venture over three miles.

Winner of a Listed contest last time out at Naas when he simply galloped his rivals into the ground, the selection will need to take another step forward off this new mark, but that should come with the extra yardage and stiff track very much in his favour.
