Hendo role a strange Tuch
THERE might be some method to Thomas Tuchel’s madness.
But when it comes to Jordan Henderson, it would take an Albert Einstein to find it.
Let's have a go, anyway.
Was Henderson in the England team to screen the back four against the attacking might of Andorra?
To be the midfield glue against a team one place higher than Nepal in the world rankings?
Maybe Tuchel just felt sorry for Henderson and took pity on him hav-ing seen Henderson lead Ajax to a Devon Loch-like collapse in the Dutch title race, with his side blowing a nine point lead with five games remaining.
Or Tuchel just wanted him to lend some experience to a side that didn’t need some, considering their oppo-nents came from a principality with a smaller population than Blackburn?
Declan Rice must have been won-dering about all of the above and more, while he sat on the bench watching Henderson fill his boots.
Literally, not metaphorically.
Henderson hasn't just come in from the international cold. He’s returned from the deep freeze when it comes to the Three Lions.
