CHRISTINE McGuinness has been talking about the emotional day she saw her dad free of heroin and walking unaided for the first time in her life.

As he came to her for a hug, the TV star panicked and went to help him, having only ever seen him bent over a walking stick, being held up, or in a wheelchair.

She said she was pleasantly shocked to see a tall strapping man walking without help.
