Spice sitcom 'missed chance'
GERI Halliwell asked hit telly writer Ben Elton to pen a sitcom about the Spice Girls.
The Young Ones and Blackadder gag writer revealed Ginger Spice tapped him up but they missed out on the "exciting opportunity".
Ben, 66, said it happened when he was hosting the BRIT Awards in 1997.
