Farke lucks out as promotion may post him job
THE hard work for Daniel Farke hasn’t even started yet.
And though he has dismissed the reports surrounding his future, it sounds like he might not even get the chance to knuckle down and plot how Leeds could survive in the Premier League next season.
Farke should feel entitled to be swigging champagne for weeks to come, having won promotion back to the top flight.
But instead, he’s feeling somewhat flat, as rumours grow that he might be rewarded for his success with the sack.
This would be one of the most brutal acts in the game's history. But then again, is there a more brutal sport than top-level football? Leeds, like all clubs, are a business.
The owners want and need success to stay sustainable, and if someone is not deemed capable of being able to achieve what is required, he has to go.
And what evidence is there to suggest Farke can make a decent fist of keeping Leeds up?
